Poll Shows Only 15% Satisfied With Current Version Of Obamacare
An Associated Press-GfK poll found among likely voters, Only 15 percent said they would leave the overhaul as it is, 37 percent said they want to repeal it completely and 36 percent said they want to revise the law so it does more to change the health care system.
Overall, Americans remain divided about the law itself. Among likely voters, 52 percent oppose it, for a range of reasons. 41 percent said they support it. Strong opponents outnumber strong supporters by 2-to-1. Health care remained among the top issues for Americans in the poll, ahead of concerns about terrorism. But Democrats are losing their edge when it comes to whom the public trusts as stewards of the health care system. Among likely voters, there was essentially no difference, with 46 percent saying they trust Obama and the Democrats, and 47 percent saying they trust Republicans.
The AP-GfK Poll was conducted Oct. 13-18 by GfK Roper Public Affairs and Corporate Communications. It involved landline and cell phone interviews with 1,501 adults nationwide, including 846 adults classified as likely to vote in the November congressional elections. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3.3 percentage points for all adults, 4.4 percentage points for likely voters.

Lake Circuit Court Dem Candidate Paras Given Free Pass
The Lake County Auditor's Office noticed two exemptions in Paras' name in 2008, and removed the exemption before it could affect the tax bills, said Mike Wieser, director of finance for Auditor Peggy Katona. The exemption reappeared in the the computer system a few months later and was removed again, Wieser said. An internal investigation hasn't been able to determine how the exemptions appeared and reappeared, Wieser said.

Times Endorses Candidate Aginst Voter ID's
White has neither been charged nor convicted in connection to these accusations. But this cloud hanging over him, combined with Osilli's sharp ideas, make Osilli the better candidate.
Since the Times is so concerned with any clouds hanging over candidates we can assume they will not endorse Viscloscky or Paras. Right?

WJOB Offers Dems Special Advertising
Lake County Republican candidates interested in buying time on local radio station WJOB were apparently not offered the same options as Democratic candidates. Republicans were offered a choice between 20 or 30 second commercials along with 15, 30, and 60 minute blocks.
Now, the station is flooded with Democratic spots which in length are only 10 seconds, thus less expensive. Why was a 10 second option not offered to Republican candidates?
Could it be because many of the station's staff are directly working or affiliated with the Democratic Party? Like one who is on the steering committee, one who actually is employed by the party, or one who's spouse is running for office.
Definitely something that should be investigated further during an election.
