Republican candidate Dan Dernulc and Libertarian David Tyssen are making runs to unseat O'Donnell, a three-term incumbent, to represent the 4th District on the Lake County Council. The 4th District covers Highland, Schererville and portions of St. John, Munster, Griffith and Dyer.
