Seaton exemptions spark investigation

CROWN POINT | Lake County officials removed questionable tax exemptions from the home of Carol Ann Seaton, the Democratic candidate for county assessor and launched investigations Thursday into how they were obtained. The same day, Seaton denied wrongdoing and blamed the media and political enemies for her troubles.
